Grant Woods (born May 19, 1954) served as attorney general of Arizona from 1991 until 1999.

Woods was a supporter of John McCain in his race for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination against J.D. Hayworth in 2010. Woods was McCain's chief of staff when he was a congressman.

During the U.S. Presidential election of 2016 he has been the only Arizona Republican to have held high office to endorse the Democratic candidate for President, Hillary Clinton. Regarding the two Presidential candidates, Donald Trump (Republican) and Hillary Clinton (Democrat) he wrote, "Hillary Clinton is one of the most qualified nominees to ever run for president. Donald Trump is the least qualified ever. The stakes are too high to stand on the sideline. I stand with Hillary Clinton for president."

Woods, considered a moderate-to-liberal Republican, was attorney general from 1991 to 1999. In the 1980s, Woods was the first congressional chief of staff for now-U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and is a longtime friend and confidant of McCain's.
