Hamilton High School is a public high school in Chandler, Arizona, United States of America. It is Arizona's largest high school, with more than 3,600 students.

History
Hamilton High School opened in 1998 with 1,600 students in freshman through junior years, in a still agricultural area on the edge of the city. It was named after the Hamilton family, one of the pioneer families of Chandler, who farmed the land where the school now stands. John Augustus Hamilton was a World War I combat veteran and sheriff of the southeast area of Phoenix. The school's football stadium now stands on what was known for years as Hamilton's Corner, the corner of Arizona Avenue/Arizona State Route 87 and Ocotillo, where the Hamiltons ran a general store.
Most of the school is housed in a two-story enclosed structure, which increases safety and provides protection from the hot weather in summer. Classrooms and primary facilities are located on one of eight main hallways, each of which has its own staircase and which also connect to the library, administrations office, cafeteria, gym, and auditorium. Both the library and the swimming pool are also city facilities.
The campus was originally built to hold 2,600 students; as of 2 October 2017, there are 3,740 enrolled. The auditorium and cafeteria each seat about 600 students, the gym seats about 1,900, and the football stadium seats 10,000. In addition to the swimming pool, the school also has a track, ten tennis courts, two soccer fields, and six fields used for baseball and practice.
A second building accommodating twelve freshman- and sophomore-level classes was completed in September 2014.

Academics
Hamilton offers courses for community college credit and a dual enrollment program in engineering for University of Arizona credit, for which it was the pilot school. In 2014 it was the 15th highest scoring school on the state AIMS tests, above all other comprehensive high schools. It received Chandler Education Foundation 100% Awareness status from 1998-2001, and was the only Arizona A+ school in 2005. Graduation rate was 94% in 2014-2015.
Athletics
Athletic activities include volleyball, football, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, golf, lacrosse, hockey, softball, wrestling, tennis, badminton, Drill Team, swimming, track, cross country, diving and rugby.
Hamilton High School's football team won Arizona Division 5A State Championships in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 (Division I). Hamilton had a 53-game winning streak until losing to Phoenix Desert Vista at the 5A state championships in November 2011.
The baseball team has won six state championships, in 2003 and 2004 (5A), 2008 5A, Division I), 2014 and 2016 (Division I) and 2017 (6A).
Hamilton's boys' golf team has won 28 major tournament victories, and has qualified for the State Championship 18 years in a row and won 5 straight State Championships from 2005 to 2009. The team was able to add their most recent State Title, their sixth, in 2014. In addition, Hamilton Huskies golfers won 6 Arizona Individual State Titles since 1998. Hamilton High School Golf Team also won 6 straight Arizona Stroke Play Championship by a Hamilton Huskies student or a graduate.
The softball team won the state championship in 2016 (Division I) and 2017 (6A).
In January 2017, an investigation began into accusations of hazing, mainly of freshmen, by members of the Hamilton football team, including sexual assault, beginning in September 2015. Three players were charged, one as an adult. Families of three alleged victims filed lawsuits against Chandler Unified School District. The football coach, Steve Belles, the athletic director, and the principal, whom the police had recommended be charged for not promptly reporting the allegations, were reassigned by the district in September 2017, and Belles' replacement made permanent in December.
